Description
The Code of Civil Procedure is yet another legal classic by MP Jain. This edition presents an authoritative, revised and fully updated account of the law relating to civil procedure in India. The Code of Civil Procedure consolidates and amends the laws relating to the procedure followed in suits and civil proceedings in all courts of civil judicature. The commentary explains the theoretical as well as practical aspects of the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure. The object, principles and meaning of the sections and orders in the Code are explained and analysed in the light of important judgments pronounced by the Supreme Court and various High Courts. The changes made by the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Act, 2002 have been critically analysed through the latest case law. The book also contains the full text of
•   The Letters Patent of various High Courts,
•   The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and
•   The Legal Services Authority Act, 1987
This book is essential reading for students and a valuable first point of reference for practitioners, judges and academicians.
