Description
It gives me great pleasure to once again edit the fifth edition of the renowned book on the Code of Civil Procedure. The experience of editing the previous edition and teaching this subject for nearly three decades at ILS Law College Pune, gave me the confidence and cogency to edit the present edition. This edition comprises of landmark judgments delivered by the Supreme Court of India. I have attempted to opulently discuss the various judgments and have further explicated the provisions in an easy, concise and comprehensive manner. I have eliminated the case laws that were redundant and the new case laws are discussed under apposite headings, in order to make the book affable. All the state amendments are scrupulously stated under the appropriate provisions. The case laws upto January, 2019 have been incorporated in the present edition. I aspire that this treatise will be beneficial not only to the Bench and the Bar but also to law teachers, legal acumen, researchers and law students.
