Description
Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Code, 1908 is essential for a student of law, regardless of his or her ambition(s)-to practice, became a solicitor or a judge, or get into research. But knowing that a subject is important does not mean that students have affinity towards that subject. One often hears the complaint that the procedural subjects are perhaps not as interesting as substantive codes and manuals like the IPC among others. However, the truth is that Code of Civil Procedure and Code of Criminal Procedure are quite engaging and very easy to follow, when a proper introduction is given to the study of the same. I have followed the original and rather ingenious idea of following the structure of Code itself. The divisions into chapters are based on the pattern of the act and for ease of understanding. The structure of the Code itself and the placement of chapters work to highlight the easy-to-grasp coherent thread which links every section and portion of the Code along with the rules placed as relevant to the topics.
