Description
This is our humble endeavour and a very small contribution to the legal world and fraternity. Various words and phrases fell for consideration and interpretation by the Hon'ble Supreme Court during the last 70 years. Different words and phrases used in different statutes have been interpreted to carry different and varied connotations in the light of the object of those statutes which have been enacted to remedy various mischiefs in order to achieve the ultimate goal as enshrined in our Constitution. When I was arguing a matter before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, I had stuck upon a particular phrase, the contours of which were very relevant and important. The matter was being heard continuously on day to day basis. When confronted with the applicability and import of that particular phrase, I had to sit for hours to find out the interpretation by the Apex Court. Obviously, it was at the cost of good amount of time. It was under these circumstances that we thought of compiling the various words and phrases at one place, so that valuable time of the legal professionals is not wasted.
