Description
This short commentary on the "Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988" is being released as the fourth edition within a shortime. This Act, Act 49 of 1988, was amended by the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, Act No. 16 of 2018, w.e.f. 26-7-2018 introducing substantial changes. Sufficient care had been taken to see that the Amendments, substitutions, insertions and Additions, had been carried out with due caution. Further the case law too had been added at the appropriate places making this commentary on the subject upto date. Revising a Book at times would consume even more time than the First
Edition of the commentary.I am afraid that I may be failing in my duty if I won't refer to those who had assisted me in this revisional work well I had been well assisted by Sri P. Jagadish Chandra Prasad, Advocate, High Court at Hyderabad of the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh, my P.P.S., Sri. N.V.
Pillai at Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal, New Delhi, and the staff at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. I also thank the publishers, Asia Law House, Hyderabad and the staff of Asia Law House who had published this Edition so well within a short time. It has been my practice to keep in view the suggestions given by all the concerned quarters while revising a Book. It is needless to say that I adoptedthe same while revising the present Edition of this book too. I do invite further suggestions for the further improvement of this book while releasing further future editions.
