Description
The Government of India, Ministry of Finance has recently notified the Delegation of Financial Powers Rules, 2024, replacing the earlier rules of 1978. The Government has also issued certain orders clarifying the various matters under the new rules. Incorporating the new rules along with GOI decisions we are now pleased to present this 2nd Revised Edition of Nabhi's COMPILATION OF DELEGATION OF FINANCIAL POWERS RULES, 2024 along with GOI Decisions, 2024.
The text of the Delegation of Financial Powers Rules, 2024 has been incorporated in Part A of the book. The speciality of the book is that the various Government of India Decisions have been incorporated under the relevant rule. Such GOI Decisions have been given in a smaller type face and contained in a box so as to distinguish it from the main Rules. Useful references have been provided at all relevant places so as to facilitate proper comprehension of the rules.
The new rules have come into force w.e.f. 1.4.2024. However, for old references and decisions taken prior to that date, text of Delegation of Financial Powers Rules, 1978 supported by relevant GOI Orders & Decisions under respective rule has been incorporated in Part B of the book.
Besides, text of rule 2 of General Financial Rules, 2017, giving definitions of words and expressions, and text of important and relevant Govt. of India's Instructions relating to Economy in Expenditure of Government issued up to date, have been given in the two additional Appendices in the end of the book, making the book complete and even more useful. An Index of Notifications, Office Memoranda and Letters, etc. has also been provided which will further enhance the practical utility of the book.
The book is expected to be a useful reference book for all Government departments and for departmental examinations.
Though every care has been taken to incorporate authentic information yet some errors might have crept in inadvertantly. Kindly bring such errors to the notice of publisher notwithstanding that the publisher is not legally or morally responsible for any error or omission. Suggestions for improvement of future editions are, however, welcome, which may kindly be sent in writing only.
