Description
The word "family" refers to a group of persons of common ancestry. Law governing a family is known as family law. From jurisprudential point of view a family law has different aspects. This work on Family Laws in India has dealt with all those aspects in the context of religious law and secular law keeping an eye for the benefits of law students and beginners in legal profession. The contents of the book are divided into six parts. Part 1 deals with general aspect of family law. Part 2 relates to Hindu family law; Part 3 deals with Muslim family law; Part 4 includes Christian family law; Part 5 relates to Parsi family law and Part 6 to secular law of family. Each Part is again divided into different chapters under separate topics of family law.
All relevant case laws of the Supreme Court and different High Courts of India and also of the foreign courts have been incorporated in appropriate places. Attempts have also been made to incorporate all the up-to-date amendments into the statutes included in this book. Different problems and their solutions by way of illustrations and leading cases are given in this book to highlight the propositions of law. Elaborate indexes will enhance the utility of the book.
