Description

However, own country is ranked in "Thomson Renters Foundation Pole" as among the world's worst places to be a woman, second from the bottom in the 2010 PISA tests on school education quality, 94th in Transparency International Corruption Perception Index, 131th in the 2011 Human Development Index (HDI), fallen from 124th in 2004. In view of Delhi gang rape case, which served conscience of the whole country, the Parliament in its legislature endeavour stead fastly enacted and enforced. The Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013. It is to be noted that provisions of said Act, 2013 have been incorporated in this edition. Further, the Supreme Court's ruling on "Honour Killings", Right to die (Arun r. Shanbaug case), dowry death, attempt to commit suicide is an offence under Section 309 I.P.C., Rape is a crime not only against victim, but also against entire society, a women of "easy virtue".
