Description
We are happy to place before our readers the Supreme Court Yearly Digest, 2021 which encapsulates the law declared by the Supreme Court of India and made available through the law reports during 2021, chiefly through Supreme Court CasesTM. For a busy practitioner the ability to be able to find the relevant ruling of law for their case and that too in a very short period of time is essential. It has been our endeavour therefore to thoroughly analyse each judgment and order of the Supreme Court and extract every possible point of law and then arrange them in a manner such that they are easily accessible. We have also not restricted ourselves to one approach in arrangement of the rulings of law. Some rulings of law have been arranged under the name of their Act/Rules and cross-referenced to topics, and others have been arranged under Topics and cross-referenced to provisions of the Act and Rules. Since mere coverage of the main point of the case is not enough, each case has been thoroughly analysed to extract all the rulings for which that case is a binding red to stop and precedent under Art. 141. Even obiter dicta of the Supreme Court have persuasive and guiding value and so have not been ignored.At Supreme Court Cases it is our endeavour to create a permanent record of the learned judgments and orders of the Supreme Court of India that constitute binding law under Article 141 of the Constitution. Keeping this objective in view and with an aim that those in the study and practise of law should have to look only in one place for all of the Supreme Court case-law complete coverage is sought by publishing all cases not covered in the regular volumes in the Supplementary Additional volumes released from time to time. They also include judgments and orders whether received late, or searched out by our research team or sent to us by our subscribers over the years and many of these are not published anywhere else.
