Description
The title of this revised edition has been changed to the "Commentary on the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013" from the old title "Commentary on the Land Acquisition Act, 1894" by the reason of the fact that section 114 of the former Act has repealed the latter Act with effect from January 1, 2014. All attempts have been made to make this revised edition useful and up-to-date with case-law of the Supreme Court of India and other new material relevant to the provisions of The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
