Description
There are times when the inner conscience is awakened towards a universe where knowledge, wisdom and realisation become the focal point of attainment of salvation. The present book Question Hour in Parliament (Evolution, Processes and Procedures) is an outcome of the same awakening and dedication towards contributing to the human world of what we have learnt and gained through our life and its experiences. The first of humans asked why the black cow gives soft white milk and began a scientific spiritual quest for meaning of life and meaningful life. Every child begins their intellectual journey by anxiously asking questions and do not seem to get enough answers! so to say, asking questions is the first way to begin change, Questions have always helped us to delve deeper into our own understanding of facts and situations. However, along with being a tool for our incredible curiosity towards the quest for life, questions are also an apparatus for ensuring probity in public life and accountability in our democratic polity. The present work on Constitutional and Parliamentary Law deals with Parliamentary Questions within the framework of the Constitution of India and Democratic Theory. I had the unique opportunity to touch, examine and live this topic on the proposed work both from the proximity of daily chores and concrete distance of an academic gaze. The practical and the theoretical aspect of any study mostly provide divergent perspectives and getting benefit from both is definitely a fortunate exposure.
