Description
Public international law is applicable to all the nations. In the bengining nations used to live in isolation but slowly each nation came into contact with one another in respect of international trade, declarations, conduct of war, treaties, diplomatic privileges etc. Nations felt the need for mutual relations during ancient period and there were based on law of nature. International law governs the relationship between states and international entities. It includes these legal fields such as treaty law, law of sea, international criminal law, the laws of war or international humanitarian law and international human rights law. International law is to promote international peace and security. It is a body of rules and principles which regulate the conduct and relations of the members of the world community. International law has no common sovereign but municipal law is made by the sovereign authority of a State. Some jurists opined that international law has no binding force and has no effective machinery for its implementation and is therefore, the vanishing point of jurisprudence. The student of law is expected to know the growth of Human Rights law and how international norms and directions are applied in the municipal law of the country.
