Description
International Law has broadly, been classified as Public International Law and Private International Law. Private International Law is concerned with the family law at international level. Bar Council of India made the Private International Law a compulsory subject at the degree level for law course. The subject of Private International Law consists of theories of Private International Law in the first unit, application of foreign law in second unit, status of marriage and matrimonial causes and reliefs in third unit, legitimacy and adoption in fourth unit and law of obligation in fifth unit. As there are not many text books on this subject, which are within the reach of students, the author attempted to present this text book covering the syllabi, prescribed by the Bar Council of India and different Universities. No text book writer can claim originality of thought as he has to explain the prescribed topics based on given references. The readers of this book are advised to use this text book for academic purposes.
