Author Details
Dr. L.S. Rathore is Professor & Head of the Department of Political Science, University of Jodhpur, Jodhpur (Rajasthan). He is the Editor of Indian Journal of Political Studies, and the President of the Indian Political Science Association. He had been the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in the University of Jodhpur (1979-82); elected member, Executive Committee of International Political Science Association (1982-85) and the recipient of Rajasthan University Merit Scholarship (1935-55), Netherlands Universities Foundation Fellowship (1959), Senior Fulbright Fellowship (1971), and the UCC Senior Fellowship (1963-65). He attended World Congresses of International Political Science Association at Moscow (1979), Rio de Janerio (1982), Paris (1985), and the Washington (1988); and the Round Table Conferences in Political Science at Tokyo, Urbana, Berlin (FOR), Florence, Zagreb and Helsinki. He visited Yugoslavia in March 1985 under India-Yugoslav Cultural Exchange Programme. He had been the Visiting Professor in Prague (1984) and the Berlin, CDR (1985). He is the author of five major books in political science and three books in English Poetry.
