Y. PRABHAKARA RAO has over 45 years of practice at the Supreme Court and other courts. He has over 54 reported judgments of the Supreme Court and one each of Delhi and Bombay High Courts in addition to over 220 unreported judgments. In addition to a large number of private cases, Rao has been representing and arguing cases for several public bodies including the Food Corporation of India, which recorded successive commendations for his contribution including the saving of Rs. 1,800 crores of recurring expenditure For the Public Exchequer. The Supreme Court designated Rao as "Senior Advocate
