It is a great pleasure on my part to present the third edition of the book 'Offences Against Children and Juvenile Offence' before the stu-dents, academicians, researchers and readers interested in the subject. This book continues to attain popularity amongst the students from its first edition. The valuable suggestions received from time to time haveencouraged me to further undertake the task of updating and incorporating some topics in this edition. Accordingly, this edition has been thoroughly revised, enlarged and updated in the light of changes brought out by various legislations and incorporation of new topics in the syllabus of various universities. All the latest amendments including the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Act, 2021 have been duly incorporated at appropriate places in this book. An attempt has been made to present the subject in simple language and in lucid manner so that it can be within the reach of the students. I hope that this third edition shall meet the requirements of the students in a better way.  Suggestions for the improvement of the book are welcome and will be given full consideration in the next edition.
