Description
There are few persons whose writings and speeches are so widely published as are Nani Palkhivala's. However, what makes this publication unique is that for the first time we have a publication which reproduces the articles written by Nani in his youth. The child is the father of the man. These articles, not only provide an insight into the gradual development and finessing of Nani's unique style of speech and writings but also reaffirm his love of literature, his commitment to human values, his wide interests and his willingness to speak out whenever injustice was done, all of which qualities he so vividly demonstrated in his later life. This compilation is the result of the initiative taken by Mr S Divakara who obtained possession of the articles in the circumstances explained by him in the Introduction. The newspaper cuttings and other papers which contained these articles were in a fragile form and Mr Divakara painstakingly typed the articles, running into over 400 pages, to preserve them and make them available for publication.
