Description
Since the publication of the first edition of the book, a number of significant changes have been made and clarificatory circulars have been issued with regard to medical facilities under the CS (MA) Rules. These include-
Rates and guidelines for reimbursement of cost of hearing aids revised.
Reimbursement of rtPCR test and Pulse Oximeter for COVID patients allowed.
Reimbursement for Lung Transplant, Heart Transplant Surgery allowed.
Guidelines for reimbursement of Continuous Subcutaneous Insulin Infusion Pump Therapy issued.
Guidelines issued for availing occupational therapy, speech therapy and behavioral therapy of autistic patients.
New Empanelment of Ayush hospitals under CS (MA) Rules. Private hospitals under non-CGHS areas may be empanelled under CS (MA) Rules.
Rates of Consultation/ Visiting & Injection Fee of AMAS have been revised.
HoDs permitted to settle permission cases and post facto approval cases up to Rs. 5 lakhs.
Form GAR 23 replaced with new Forms RPR 23 and RPR
23B.
Incorporating the aforesaid and other changes, and encouraged by the overwhelming response from the readers, we are now pleased to present this second revised edition of Nabhi's Compilation of MEDICAL ATTENDANCE RULES alongwith Government of India Decisions, 2025.
The text of the Central Service (Medical Attendance) Rules, 1944 has been amended up to date. The speciality of the book is that the various Government of India Decisions have been incorporated under the relevant rule and arranged subjectwise. Such GOI Decisions have been given in a smaller type face and contained in a box so as to distinguish it from the main Rules. Useful Editorial Notes and references have been provided at all relevant places so as to facilitate proper comprehension of the rules and the decisions.
All forms required for the purposes of medical treatment and reimbursement have also been given in the end of the rules.
Besides, Orders relating to List of Hospitals Recognised for Certain Diseases, Medical Attendance/Treatment and Recognition of Private Hospitals in certain States/Stations in India, List of Medicines Admissible/Inadmissible under Allopathy and under Indian Systems of Medicines & Homoeopathy, Treatment for Special Diseases, Treatment in Emergency Cases, Concessions for Families of Govt. Employees, Travelling Allowance in connection with Medical Treatment, Advance for Medical Treatment, etc. have been incorporated in separate Appendices after the main rules.
