• Procedure for obtaining IEC Number has been further simplified. Application can be made
through online mode only w.e.f. 1.4.2016.
• Manner of payment for imports revised under FEM (Manner of Receipt & Payment)
Regulations,2016.
• Resident individuals, firms and companies with exposures up to USD one million, permitted to
book forward foreign exchange contracts.
• New Baggage Rules, 2016 notified w.e.f. 1.4.2016 with corresponding changes in notifications on concessional duty on transfer of residence and Customs Baggage Declaration Rules.
