Description
The present subject, "Transfer of Property Act" is one of the most important branches of the Law of Property, prescribed for study as a compulsory paper in the LL.B./B.L./B.G.L./B.A.L./B.S.L. (Both three years and five years Degree) course in all the Indian Universities. The Transfer of Property Act mainly deals with the transfer of immovable property between two living persons (i.e. transfer inter vivos) and also deals with transfer of movable property. The Act contains 137 Sections covering both principles and specific transfers. Therefore, the book has been divided into two parts. Part-I containing Sections 1 to 53A deals with 'General Principles', while Part-II containing Sections 54 to 137 lays down various provisions relating to the specific transfers. Every effort has been made to make all the difficult topics in the subject very lucid and easy to understand.
