Description
The third edition of this book has received proper response from teachers and students of LL.M., LL.B. and LL.B. (Hons.) of Indian Universities which inspired and encouraged the author to present the thoroughly revised fourth edition. Best efforts have been made to make it more useful for all concerned by discussing recent law on the subject. Besides teachers and students of LL.M., LL.B. and LL.B. (Hons.), it appears that it will also be useful for advocates and the candidates appearing in competitive examinations. Some new relevant and important topics such as Money Laundering, Guarantee and Indemnity, Computer Banking E-Banking, Recovery of Debts Due to Banks and Financial Institutions, Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and Banking Services and Consumer Protection Law have also been included in the present edition. The principles laid down in Dashrath Rupsingh Rathod v. State of Maharashtra and Anr.. (2014) 9 SCALE 97, regarding jurisdiction of court in case of dishonour of cheque has been discussed in the book. Several other recent landmark judgments delivered by Hon'ble Supreme Court and various High Courts have also been discussed in the book. In the first few pages of the present work. nominal list of cases has been provided. Abbreviations used in the book have also been given in beginning of the book.
