"Property" is an important aspect of human life. Life and property are the two wheels of socio-economic life of a man in almost all countries of the world. Therefore, at least some knowledge about property and the law relating to its transfer is a sine qua non in these days where life is measured in terms of property that man owns, possesses and controls. One of the known common areas of conflicts in the life of a man in a given society is transfer of Property. Law relating to transfer of property is provided under the Transfer of Property Act, 1882. Though the subject in its origin is civil in nature, it has become a fertile ground for increasing number of crimes day in and day out, and stimulating people with criminal attitudes like grabbing, encroachin and possessing by illegal means.
