Author Details
V.S. Bhanot
was born on 5-4-1933 in Layalpur (Pakistan) and after his early schooling In S.D. High School, Layalpur and Sain Dass A.S. High School, Jalandhar (Punjab), he post-graduated from the Punjab University in Political Science and History with distinctions. He joined Government of India in 1958 after qualifying U.P.S.C. Examination from where he retired from a Senior Class I position in 1990. He did his LL.B. during his service career. He has been in the field of service matter jurisprudence particularly relating to Vigilance and Establishment matters for the last more than a quarter of a century. He has been delivering lectures on the subject in various In-service training courses for Government Servants. He has already authored two monumental works, one on "Disciplinary Proceedings" (2003 Edition) and the other on "Law of Confidential Reports" (2004 Edition) published by Universal Law Publishing Co. Pvt. Ltd. The author is now engaged in consultancy works in the field.
