Description
As per Preamble to the Sale of Goods Act, 1930 this Act was enacted to define and amend the law relating to the sale of goods. Sale with all its grammatical variations and cognate expressions means every transfer of the property in goods (other than by way of a mortgage, hypothecation, charge or pledge) by one person or another in the course of business for cash, deferred payment or other valuable consideration. Section 2(7) defines "goods” as every kind of movable property other than actionable claims and money, and includes stock and shares, growing crops, gross and  things attached to or forming part of the land which are agreed to be severed before sale or under the contract of sale. This commentary on Law of Sale of Goods and Partnership was released as First Edition in 2006. This exhaustive and analytical commentary on the subject contains commentary on the Sale of Goods Act, 1930 and the Indian Partnership Act, 1932, has received very wide appreciation from the Bench and the Bar and from all others who in any way are concerned with the subject In the present edition much care has been taken to see that the previous edition which had any mistakes were rectified and the lacunae were filled and incorporated at appropriate places.
