Description
The book assigned to me for updating and revision is a very comprehensive and prestigious one, on the Law of Injunctions by Sri C.Mallikarjuna Row. It has received widespread from the Bar and Bench alike since its 1st Edition in the year 1954. It is a matter of pleasure to prepare 11th Edition of the Book The judicial pronouncements and precedents are very important in making judicial decisions. A rapid growth of the subject is observed with the addition of number of judicial precedents. This is here that a new Edition contains all the recent precedents and amendments. Injunctions are a type of relief which is in nature of declaratory and equitable. In each particular case, this relief has to be adjusted in aid of equity and justice. The maxim of equity that he who seeks equity must do equity' is applicable to a case in which such an equitable remedy is prayed for. Besides, the plaintiff who is seeking for such a relief should be able to show that he has come to the Court 'with clean hands'. It may be said that it is a preventive relief and is generally granted, taking note of equity. Sufficient care has been taken to keep intact the spirit and essence of the original book. Recently, several enactments being in use since many years, have been amended and the new provisions have been incorporated at appropriate places. Similarly, since the previous edition a lot of case law has come to existence. Keeping relevancy in view, many of them have been put in at the right places. This tedious venture has well enriched and updated the book. It is expected that it would be useful for lawyers, judges and litigant public,
