Description
The subject of 'foreign contribution' has assumed quite an importance for the Government and the not-for-profit associations and organizations in recent years in the context of the activities of some organizations. The subject of renewal of registration and failure to apply for renewal within the statutory period has caused concern to the Government which was compelled to take action to send over a message that the law of foreign contribution cannot be taken lightly and a strict compliance is mandatory. The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Rules, 2011 was amended and new Forms were introduced from 10th November, 2020. To monitor the utilization of foreign contribution, the Lokpal and Lokayukta Act, 2013 has laid down certain requirements. The present seventh edition of the book is an improved version of the earlier editions and the readers will find the book full of guidance and help The Central Government has recently notified amendments made to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 on 28th September, 2020, effective from 29th September, 2020 and to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules, 2020 on 10th November, 2020. This has made it necessary to revise the present book by incorporating the changes caused by the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 2020 and the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules, 2020. The author joins Mr. Sandeep Garg, the vibrant publisher in bringing out this seventh edition of the book for the benefit of the readers and the legal fraternity and hopes it will be well received as before.
