Description
The earnest attempt of my learned friend Sri. K. Mathen in the preparation of this Law Dictionary (English-Malayalam) is indeed commendable. I have gone through the Dictionary in detail and am deeply impressed by its comprehensive nature as well as its depth. Words, expressions and practices-legal, have been exhaustively dealt with, not omitting important legal terms, expressions and maxims in Latin, French etc. And he has chosen a very appropriate format, arranging words in alphabetical order at the same time copiously including related expressions. Pin pointed interpretations with relevant illustrations set in context make this Dictionary really worthwhile. Maximum effort has been put in by my colleague the author, to make this a useful ready reference for the busy lawyer as for a practitioner of law at any level. Students of law and advocates' clerks will also find a handy ready reckoner in this Dictionary. Those working in offices-governmental or non governmental-will also find the entries easy to locate and comprehend. I have no doubt that this well researched volume will prove to be a boon to anyone interested in law as a career or to a layman who wants to be clear in his concepts.
