Description
After writing books on Code of Criminal Procedure and Law of Evidence, the author attempted to bring this book on Law of Crimes (Indian Penal Code, 1860). Though there are many books on the Law of Crimes written by eminent authors, an attempt has been made by the author to bring the subject within the reach of the Law students by presenting the subject in simple language in lucid style basing on the syllabus framed by the Bar Council of India and syllabi of different Indian Universities. All Amendments to Indian Penal Code, 1860 by Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2018 (Act No. 22 of 2018) w.r.e.f. 21-4-2018 are covered at appropriate places. The author is thankful to the authors and publishers referred to in Bibliography. Thanks are also due to Shri. A.V. Krishna Rao, Advocate for providing literature on the subject from his library. The author owes his sincere thanks for Prof. (Dr.) K.V.S. Sarma, Professor of Law, Hyderabad for his kind gesture in giving foreword to the first edition of this book by sparing his precious time. The author thanks the publishers, the Asia Law House and their staff for bringing the book in an attractive form. Suggestions and advices from Advocates, Legal scholars, Professors and Students are welcome for the improvement of this book and will be gratefully acknowledged.
