Description
The Fourth Edition of JURISPRUDENCE and INDIAN LEGAL THEORY is a continuing effort and abiding interest of the author in making  Legal  Theory more  thought-provoking and more alive area of scholastic reflection, pursuit and learning. A renewed effort has been made in this edition to assimilate current socio-politic-cultural ethos, new vistas and view points of jurists, judges and teaching and practicing fraternity of Law to study, interpret and expound law on the basis of social and cultural parameters of our heritage and value-goals. The author has discussed and evaluated these fundamental strands of Indian Legal Theory in the light of present day juristic and other developments. The theme and thrust of this work is pedagogical to motivate and inspire Indian legal fraternity to weave and mould law and jurisprudence around core Indian values and prevailing problems, issues and needs which we in great measure skirt. It is this emphasis, which is its unique feature—a pure Swadeshi assessment, exposition and synthesis of law and legal theory on the catena of Indian spirit and timeless ideals.
