Description
Iam a misfit in my society. I could never fit in in my society. My behaviour and attitude had always set me apart from others. I am non-conformist, non-conventional and non- compromising.
Poverty in my early life had a profound impact on my later life also.
To fulfill my desire to scribble the story of my life journey for my posterity I have ventured to do so in three separate parts. There were broadly four turning points in my life. First, in my childhood when two strangers to our family came to my life to inspire me to aspire. Second, when I got admitted. to the then most reputed college of Calcutta Presidency College in 1957 to think big. Third, when I left home for England to become a barrister in 1966. And the fourth and last was when I embarked upon my journey as a lawyer in Calcutta High Court in 1972 after being called to the Bar from Hon'ble Society of Lincoln's Inn, London as a barrister in 1971.
