Dr. N.K. Jayakumar
, currently Head of Department of Law, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, is also Chairman of Postgraduate Board of Studies in Law, University of Kerala; Dean of Faculty of Law, Kannur University (Kerala); and Chairman, Postgraduate Board of Studies in Law, Tamilnadu Dr Ambedkar Law University at Chennai. He was a visiting Professor of Vienna University, Austria in 1998. Dr Jayakumar has authored several books and research papers m leading law journals. He has presented papers and delivered lectures at various fora in India and abroad. He contributes regularly to Annual Survey of Indian Law, published by the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi and is a contributing author of Halsbuiys Laws of India. Dr Jayakumar is the editor of Kerala University Journal of Legal Studies and a member of the editorial board of the Academy Law Review since 1977. His main areas of teaching and research are administrative law, jurisprudence, international law and human rights.
