In 1976, when I entered the legal profession, Mogha's Indian Conveyancer became very helpful to me in drafting deeds, agreements, partnerships, settlements, wills, power of attorneys, etc. The first edition of this book came in January 1938, today, we are in the year 2021. In this journey of time, this book has seen 14 editions, the 15th edition is in your hands. As we know in this universe, the only constant thing is 'change'. Since independence, laws in India have been given new interpretations and several new laws have been enacted. Ways of commerce have changed, emergence of new areas in the field of law and commerce has taken place. Globalisation of commerce and business had impacted drafting of instruments and deeds in a great way. Sincere efforts have been made to update the book in its 15th edition and to make it useful for today's professionals. New chapters on insolvency, bankruptcy and intellectual property rights have been added. In this effort, Shri Narendra Kumar, Member (Judicial), Delhi VAT Appellate Tribunal and Ritika Mogha Nahata, LL.M, have taken great pains to ensure the latest law is incorporated in the same. Efforts have been made to make it practicable and useful for the readers and users. All suggestions of users for the improvement of the book are welcome.
