Author Details
VIKRANT PACHNANDA is a Dispute Resolution Counsel and an Aviation Attorney having pursued B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Gujarat National Law University; Gandhinagar (GNLU), LL.M. from Cornell Law School and Advanced LL.M. in Air and Space Law from the International Institute of Air and Space Law at Leiden University. He was one of the eight students who were part of the first batch of students that enrolled in the inaugural course on air law at GNLU and currently teaches at the GNLU Academy of Air and Space Law as a Resource Person.
Pachnanda has been practising across various forums such as the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts; Tribunals and District Courts across the country as well as dealing with international and domestic arbitrations since 2012. He has also been working with a boutique dispute resolution law firm in India, Agarwal Law Associates, since 2014 and was an Associate in the Aero-Space & Defence team at Luthra & Luthra Law Offices (now L&L Partners). Pachnanda advises stakeholders in the aviation industry on aviation-related legal issues including aviation security law, consumer protection issues and policy-related issues. He is the Managing Editor of the India Law Journal (www.indialawjournal.org) which he founded as a law student in 2008. He was also one of the founders and Student Managing Editors of the GNLU Journal for Law, Development and Politics.
Pachnanda judges the national and international rounds of the annual Leiden-Sarin International Air Law Moot, one of the only moot court competitions in the field of air law in the world. He has participated in this moot court competition as a GNLU student and as a coach of the GNLU team.
