Author Details
He was a member of the Review Committee appointed Prof. S.R. Bhansali, LL.M., Ph.D. is former Professor of Law, Dean and Head of the Department, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur. He was appointed Professor Emeritus by the UGC. Ten University teachers have done Ph.D. and LL.D. under his supervision. He has contributed more than fifty research papers in Indian and foreign journals and on many of his papers, he has received cash awards. He is prolific writer. He has written about 20 law books, which are very popular. He has also edited six books. His book on 'Geeta ke Madhur Geet' was well received by the people and religious heads. The Ministry of Law and Justice Government of India gave him national awards twice on his books on Rajasthan Co-operative Societies Act and Transfer of Property Act in Hindi. He was editor of the Indian Journal of Legal Studies for a decade. He was visiting fellow at the Saurastra University, Rajkot. He has presented his research papers at a number of National and International Conferences and has visited the Universities of Oxford, London, Frankfurt, Leuven, Aukland, Victoria, Canterbury, Christ-Churh, Sydney, Tokyo and International Court of Justice, the Hague. He has conducted the All India Symposium on the Moot Session of the UN General Assembly on Disarmament, All India Inter-University Moot Court Competition at the JNV University, Jodhpur in 1985 and 1993, All India Seminar on law relating to Agriculture labour in 1987, the National Seminar on Consumer Protection through law in 1989.  The Rajasthan High Court has appointed him as Chairman of the Commission on Untouchability against the Harijans in Bari Sadri. by the Supreme Court to review the work of Lok Adalats and Legal Aid Programme in Rajasthan. He was Director of Bhagwan Mahavir Law College, Jaipur and Secretary of Shri Nakoda Parasvanath Jain Mahavidhyala, Jodhpur. He is one of the founder members of the National Law University at Jodhpur.
