Description
Human Rights constitute the matrix of all fundamental rights that we have today. It includes right to democracy which includes right of equality, life and personal liberty, freedom of speech and expression, right against arbitrary arrest, freedom of conscience and religion and right for demanding enforcement of such guaranteed human rights.
The Constitution of India, as a supreme of democracy, contains expressly chapters on Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State Policy which are sacred guidelines in the governance of the nation.
In 1993 the Parliament of India incorporated in its Constitution the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (Act No. 10 of 1994). It is the Comprehensive Act assuring protection of Human Rights and all related matters.
The origin, concept, evolution and growth of human rights have been widely discussed and in proper perspective, even citing the relevant chapters of International Law vis-a-vis Constitution of India. Human Rights are universal rights and they do not know any barriers of caste, creed, race, religion or territories. Every human being on the earth irrespective of sex, age and placement in life, is entitled for such basic human rights as right to live and that too with dignity, liberty and equal treatment.
This book will enlight the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and establish economic, social and cultural rights with civil and political rights on International measures for implementation of human rights and a new bond for relations between all countries and unfolds a highly exciting story of creative development of human rights.
