Description
Forensic Science and evidence have a vital role in Justice System, both criminal as well as civil. Today, the importance of Forensic Science in the practice of law is well known to all those who practice, teach or study the law. When I was a student of law, Forensic Science was never taught to us as it was not included in the syllabus of B.A. LL.B. Gradually the importance of teaching Forensic Science to the law students was realised. Now almost all the Universities offering undergraduate courses in law have included Forensic Science in its curriculum.
I realised that the law students were struggling to find a book that caters to their curriculum of Forensic Science. This book covers the syllabus of Forensic Science (B.A. LL.B.) of various universities of India. At the start of every chapter, a question bank has also been provided. The first edition was published in 2021, and within a year there has been considerable recognition and acceptance, both by the law students and faculties. In the second edition, all the chapters have been thoroughly updated. The text has been provided in concise and lucid form with improved designs of figures, line diagrams, tables. I am confident that the book shall prove to be a standard textbook of Forensic Science for the students and faculty both. This treatise is an effort to provide a complete resource and reference material on Forensic Science for law students and law professionals.

Author Details
Dr.Prof Virendra Pal Singh is qualified both in Law as well as Forensic Medicine. He did LL.B. from University Institute of Laws, PURC, Ludhiana and post graduation in Forensic Medicine from Govt. Medical College, Patiala. He is working as a professor at DMC Ludhiana, and teaches the subject of Forensic Medicine to the undergraduate MBBS students. He also delivers lectures on Forensic Science to law students as a guest faculty. He has several years of experience in Forensic Medicine as well as law, and understands the requirement of information on Forensic Science by the Law students and the law professionals.
