Author Details
BR Sharma
worked in Delhi University Laboratories after obtaining his BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from Punjab University. Selected as Director, CID Scientific Laboratory, Punjab, at an early age of 26, just before completion of his PhD degree, he headed various Forensic Science Institutions including the State FSLs, Punjab; Himachal Pradesh; UT CFSL (GOI, MHA), Chandigarh. He retired in September 1993 and now runs the National Institute of Forensic Science. Dr Sharma had rigorous training in Forensics from New Scotland Yard Laboratory, London, Home Office Forensic Science Laboratories at Harrogate (England) and Glasgow (Scotland). A consultant to numerous Universities, educational boards, banks, insurance  companies, government/semi-government/private organizations and individuals, including courts and police departments, he has also been a teacher in Forensics for about three decades as a secondary engagement and his assignments include Honorary Visiting Professor to Punjab University; Guest Faculty Member to Punjab University, Patiala; Dr HS Gaur University, Sagar; National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, Delhi; Central Detective Training School, numerous Zonal and Regional Staff Training Colleges of various Banks and Judicial Academies.
