Description
Family Law-I is the branch of law, which deals with the individuals and their relations with the family. It governs the relationships between individuals in a family. India is a country with diviersified cultures, religion and languages and each such diversity has its own importance with relative personal laws. Each religion has its own distinct principles the laws. The personal laws play a vital role in governing the conflicting interest of the individuals. Study of Family Law is Unique. It is not like the rest of the civil laws. It lacks uniformity in application. It covers an enormous area of domestic relations such as marriage, matrimonial remedies, legitimacy of children, custody, guardianship, adoption, intestate and testamentary succession etc. This subject deals with marriage, divorce, adoption and maintenance of the Hindus, the Muslims and the Christians. The rules relating to marriage, matrimonial remedies, legitimacy of children, custody, guardianship, adoption is of immense importance as it involves the sensitive relationship between individuals in the society. Family law analyzesd the presence of different personal laws for different community to and to discuss in detail the personal laws of Hindus and Muslims.
