Disputes between husband and wife are not uncommon today. The Family Courts were established to adjudicate upon the inter se disputes between husband and wife. Thus, disputes between husband and wife in the matters of divorce, judicial separation, disputes pertaining to the custody of children and property are covered under the Family Courts Act. A handy book covering of Statutes applicable before Family Courts would be useful for Lawyers not only practising before the Family Courts but also before other Courts. In this book I have made endeavour to cover Statutes that are of day-to-day use before the Family Courts in Kerala. This book is an addition to the comprehensive book titled 'Complete Family Court Laws in Kerala' which contains a detailed commentary of all Statutes. I hope that this book will be of great use to the Lawyers, Judges and litigants in Family Courts. If any suggestions for improvement are brought to my notice, the same would be incorporated in the next edition.
