Description
Seventeenth December 2021 was a bright sunny day. My father, Justice T S Doabia was sitting in our garden and dictating notes for the commentary on Environmental & Pollution Laws in India. The next morning he suffered a silent heart attack and subsequently passed away three days later, After battling with his sudden loss, the task of settling his affairs fell on me. One of these tasks was completing the manuscript and commentary on Environmental & Pollution Laws in India. Thus, I have come to write this preface for the fourth edition of the book on Environmental & Pollution Laws in India. Book writing is no stranger to me. It is something I have grown up with. Having witnessed my grandfather Sardar HS Doabia, and my father Justice T S Doabia dictating commentaries, checking proofs and referring to gazettes - Learning came through observing.
The thing about great Masters is that they teach without instructing. So has been the case with us - my Father, the teacher and I his pupil. I learnt because I observed the elders carry on their daily tasks - be it arguing in Courts of Law or dictating commentaries on various subjects of Law. All done with great dedication, diligence and a sense of purpose.
