Description
This book is a revised update of the book titled "The E-Laws", published in the year 2011 by Swamy Law House, Kochi. It contains details comments on the Information Technology Act, 2000 and allied rules and statues. It also contains the Payments and Settlement Systems into "Digital India". It envisages a new dawn for India which is built around the edifice of information technology. The book confines itself to discussion of above mentioned subjects and chose not to venture into other dimensions of information technology like intellectual property protection in cyberspace, human rights and information technology which were mentioned in the previous book. When the author ventures into the research of information technology and law in the year 2017 there were only few Indian books on the subjects. But all through this decade, Indian law publishing industry has produced scores of books pertaining to information technology law. Thus, looking from that prism this book is not a novelty. But, lots of efforts spanning over several years since I signed agreement with M/s. Bharat Law House Pvt Ltd have gone into this book. The author leaves it to audience to judge this work. Sincere efforts have been made to make this book error free. "To err is human, but to forgive is divine".

Aravind Menon, now works with Seshassai Group of Companies. He has over ten years of research experience in various aspects of information technology law. He has been a resource person to various institutions like the NUALS, Cochin, and the Kerala Police Academy. He has also presented various papers on information technology and has several publications to his cerdit. He is also pursuing his doctoral studies on "Internet Governance" at NUALS, Cochin.
