Description
WRITING A TREATISE ON AN ABSTRACT BUT RELEVANT concept like "due process" is a difficult task, when compared to writing a text on a traditional subject. Mr Abhinav Chandrachud has attempted to capture the spirit of due process, as it developed in American jurisprudence, and explains how it has inevitably but discreetly entered Indian constitutional law in a mutated form even though the founding fathers had consciously decided not to adopt the due process clause and had opted for "procedure established by law" in Article 21 of the Constitution of India.
