Description
Contracts-I deals with general principles of contracts and the Specific Reliefs. In our daily life we make several promises which lead to a variety of contracts. These contracts are based on agreement. Every contract creates some rights and duties on the parties. Parties are bound by their promises. Contract is an agreement enforceable by law. Contracts are essential in business, trade, commerce and industry. Such contracts must have statutory recognition and legal enforce ability. During colonial period the general English principles of law of contracts were followed. Those principles have been adopted in the Indian Contract Act, 1872. In the present world it is not possible to transact any business activity without the recognized principles of law of contracts. The principles of contracts are governed by the Indian Contract Act of 1872. Law of Contracts deals with the general principles and the enforcement of these rights and duties on the parties in India. Therefore study of Law of Contracts is essential not only to the students of law, advocates and judges, but also every person. The student of law must be acquainted with the conceptual and operational parameters of these various general principles of contractual relations including the Specific Relief Act, 1963.
