The 6th edition of this book was published in 2021 and was sold out in a year, but we had to go for a reprint. The post-COVID buzz, made the practicing lawyer, as the Author is, hard-pressed of time, more than ever before. If there is any law, which one needs to get updated with every day, it is the arbitration law and most of the matters decided under the Commercial Courts Act, arise out of arbitration cases. Therefore, any revision requires thorough research, not only in respect of the principles, but also their application in myriad situations. Hence, this edition got delayed. There is a legislative amendment to the Act, during the period of revision, under the Mediation Act, 2023, which substituted Section 12-A of the Act. Further, the Mediation Act itself, is relevant to the subject of this work, for more than one reason. The judgment of the Supreme Court in Patil Automation case has also settled the law, as to the mandatory nature of the said provision. The questions that were left open in the said case, what is the true meaning of the expression, "A suit which does not contemplate any urgent interim relief",
