Author Details
Dr. Kande Prasada Rao
was born of devoted Christians parents Kande Abraham and Meramma on 4th February, 1944 in Allur of Nellore district in Andra Pradesh. He had his school education in Rama Krishna High School, Allur and did B. Sc.; in Venkatagiri Raja's College, Nellore. He did m.Sc. (Physics) in Vikram University,Ujjain.
Dr. Rao worked as Junior Lecture in Physics in Coles Memoral Junior College, Kurnool and A. B. M. Junior College. Ongole in Andhra Pradesh and retired from service on attaining age of superannuation in 2002.
His first book under the title "Freedom of Religion for Harijans in India" was cited in Parliament (Lok Sabha) on 28th May, 1990 and is preserved in Parliament Library, vide catalogue No. 301.440954 N.O. 1990.
The Second book of Dr. Rao was under the title "The Law Relating to Marriages of Christians in India" for which the Foreword was given by Justice K. Ramasway, judge, Supreme Court of India. It was released in The Indian Law Institute, New Delhi on 12th September, 1990.
Third book of Dr. Rao entitled "Bigamy in Christian Law" was published in 2001, for which the foreword was given by Justice H. K. Sema, Judge, Supreme Court of India.
