Thank you for supporting my previous work on the Indian Evidence Act, 1872. Building on that foundation, I am excited to present this book on The Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023. My goal with this book is to provide a comprehensive and comparative analysis of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 and The Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023.
In each section, I have highlighted what is new in The Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 compared to the Indian Evidence Act, 1872. To assist with understanding these changes, I have included corresponding old sections under the Contents. Additionally, a comparative chart of old and new sections is provided for quick reference.
To enhance the practical utility of this book, I have included relevant judgments relating to the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 including the latest decisions, under the corresponding sections of the new Act. This will help practitioners and students alike in navigating the new provisions with the aid of established jurisprudence.
