Description
Internships are opportunities which are offered by an employer to potential employees who are called interns, for a limited duration. Mostly, the students of professional studies undergo internships so as to gain the real world practical experience of the profession they are aiming at. Internship is an exchange of service between the students and the organisation which the students take up to learn, build network, gain experience as well as credits for their field of study. An internship is a kind of training for job, especially for professional careers. These are very similar to apprenticeships which exist for persons who are or would be into trade or vocational careers. Internships play an important role in guiding a student's career. It helps the students to explore, understand and learn various aspects of the job and the professional world and select the role which they best fit into and interests them. Hence, internships help in choosing a perfect career according to the interest of the individual.
